Web: Girls will be girls

Americans United for Separation of Church and State today called on the Center for Reclaiming America to publicly disavow extreme statements made by commentator Ann Coulter during a recent Center conference in Fort Lauderdale.

The Center, the political arm of TV preacher James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Ministries, hosted Coulter during a "Reclaiming America for Christ Conference" March 2-3.

Coulter called presidential candidate John Edwards a "faggot" and excused the murder of doctors who perform abortions.

Sounds more like reclaiming America for fascism.

But the real question is, did Ann toss her hair and look really hot while she made those comments?

For the record (plus, I hate to see even The Door fall for the mass hysteria), Coulter did NOT call Edwards a faggot. She said that IF she called him a faggot ... There is a difference and I am convinced that that was her intention: to see if everybody would go nuts by her merely suggesting that IF she used a specific word to describe someone ...

Here's the quote: "I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I'm - so, kind of at an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards, so I think I'll just conclude here and take your questions."

Coulter is the Lenny Bruce of the 21st century, as odd as that sounds.
