Web: Holy water for the troops?

This is the week for "holy" stuff--Holy Earth (see below), Holy Jordan River Water and now plain old Holy Drinking Water. And you can donate it to our troops in Iraq!

An AP story explains the bottles of H2O "only carry the blessings of Catholic and Anglican priests, but company president Brian Germann said he plans to expand to other faiths."

"The initial idea behind this product is to provide people with a daily reminder that they can and should do good in life, and that they may not be as bad of a person as they think,” Germann says. Cost is 99 cents for one 16.9 oz. bottle; 24 bottles are $19.99. Plus shipping.

Seventy-five cases have been donated so far to troops in Iraq, the website says.

The bottles, filled with plain, purified water, carry a warning: "If you are a sinner or evil in nature, this product may cause burning, intense heat, sweating, skin irritations, rashes, itchiness, vomiting, bloodshot and watery eyes, pale skin color, and oral irritations."

In that case, I say ship this stuff to Al-Qaeda instead.
